They say that the American dream is just a myth, but for Erik Roberto it is a reality. That is not to say it was an easy journey, that didn’t take a lot of perseverance and hard work. And of course, Roberto’s finely crafted skills.
17 years ago, with the status as a prominent barber, Erik left his country of birth for the city of New York. Establishing a prominent barber shop in the Big Apple, he’s responsible for the haircuts of a long list of famous personalities. As well as being an expert with machines, scissors, combs, razors and other instruments, he has won the first place in important barber competitions including the prestigious CT Barber Expo. Crucially, Erik was the first barber in the world to venture into Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), which is a procedure used to recreate the hair follicle in areas where hair either grows very little or not at all. This method can be used for treating baldness, alopecia and scars. As Eric says “It is a great pleasure to be able to please our clients, meet their needs and at the same time suggest what works best for them. That has been our success in the American public, knowing how to handle all types of scalp.”
Located in Manhattan NY, Erik co-founded a clinic named Gerow Hair Ink. Once again, many famous names have commissioned the acclaimed hair transformations, which have been recognised in countries such as Brazil, United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland and the United States for their high-quality standard.
Eric, who is a native of the city of San Pedro De Macoris in the Dominican Republic, is a great example of where hard work and determination can get you. He has gone on to win both the Hair Battle Tour in Boston and the Barber Shop Connect in New York, two highly sought after awards which are great testimonials of this man’s skills and popularity. Of course, the hairdressing industry is a competitive one, so having these accolades will further help him to stand out from the crowd.
